Hiking the Milford Track

Over 100 years later it still rings true. The Milford Track has grown out of humble beginnings. Since its establishment in 1888 by pioneer Quintin Mackinnon, the trek is known as one of the greatest guided walking adventures in the world. Take the plunge and follow in the footsteps of early pioneers as you discover this beauty hidden within Fiordland National Park.

Part of the Te Wahipounamu Southwest New Zealand World Heritage Area; the Milford track takes in craggy mountain peaks, deep, glassy fiords and lakes, beautifully peaceful rainforests and sheer granite rock faces, soaring above walkers as they wind their way through the valleys.

The Milford Track Guided Walk, operated by Ultimate Hikes, is a 5-day all-inclusive guided walking package including transport to and from Queenstown. Meals, accommodation, snacks, backpacks, rain jackets and, perhaps best of all, a cruise through the majestic Milford Sound and included and wrap up what will be one of the greatest weeks of exploration you have, and will ever experience.

Join a guided hike and hope for rain – for when it rains you get to experience the true majesty of this spectacular landscape, as hundreds of waterfalls cascade down the rock faces towering above.
